Mum’s really confused with my behaviour regarding parcels. You see, I’ve been really lucky to receive mail, even parcels sometimes. I’m think I’m quite a clever puppy (even if I say so myself), what I’ve noticed is that the UPS truck has a different noise to the Fedex truck and also the mail truck.
The best goodies for some reason seem to come from the UPS truck, I have no idea why, but this is my observation. In fact, I don’t even bother to react to the sound of the other trucks, well, what’s the point?!
Mum thinks it’s odd that I’ve worked this out, I think it’s kind of simple. The frustrating bit is I haven’t worked out if it’s actually delivering to our house when I hear it, so I do have quite a few false alarms – doh! I wonder if other dogs get excited about deliveries?

We have always said the UPS truck must have a different motor or something because every dog we have ever had has always reacted to the UPS man. I thought of you last night Snoopy when I was flipping through Sports Illustrated and there was a picture of Mr. Baggins at Westminster.

Hi Helen,
Yep, you were right it does sound different and I can tell……:)
Wow, Mr Baggins was in Sports Illustrated, now that’s impressive, thanks for telling me I’m gonna see if I can see him…..
Have a great day,
Snoopy
Whoa…I’m impressed! Gus can’t differentiate between the different trucks…but he does think every door that is slammed in our neighborhood is coming to see him!

Hi Lori,
Gus can’t tell the difference, come on Gus a doggie of your calibre can do it, it’s really easy, just listen carefully, maybe if you get out from under the bed you’ll hear better, tee hee – I’m only jealous cos I can’t fit under……
He must get lots of false alarms with the neighbours doors banging?
Woof to Gus,
Snoops
The Doodle is just happy to see/hear something coming down the road. Living on a dead-end street, there’s not as much traffic as we used to have, so every truck is a treat…for him, anyway.
He has, however, reliably learned the term “pizza man” and will be very-good-dog if he knows the pizza man’s coming over. I guess it’s all about priorities.

Hi Vicky,
Pizza man? I don’t know that phrase, I think Mum is keeping something from me, I need to check this out!
Woofs and Wags to the Doodle

The pups in our house get excited about the UPS man, too! And the mail man, and the FedEx guy, and the trash men, and the neighbor kids….a whole lot of excitement going on around here!

Oh my gpsh! I just love your bouncing trot and how your long coat sways. Why YES! We do like to happily wag are tails while barking to announce guests. We try to appear fierce; then we attack them with hugs!
Hi there Barkn About,
Yep, I get a little over zealous with the hug giving when someone arrives too, doh!
