Let me take you back to the beginning to explain……
Mum and Dad got me from a Breeder as they couldn’t find a rescue Bearded Collie. They knew from their experience with Cosmo (next door) that I was the right type of breed for the family especially as Cory was scared of Dogs (he’s not any more since I’ve been around – yay!)
They were just looking for a pet, but at the last minute were told that I was actually looking like show quality. They wanted to stick with me, phew, I’m glad they did!
Mum and Dad said they would see how my training progressed and maybe try the Dog Show World and see how it went as they always like new experiences. I attended 3 shows and had lots of fun in the process.
Mum and Dad have been super busy this year so we haven’t done any training or shows since January, so I wasn’t sure if we were going to carry on or not.
I know Mum is also keen to work on my therapy training and maybe try some of the other fun activities I could do like Agility or Herding ( I think I’d like Herding as I love to chase things that move, Mum also knows from my puppy days that I’m a great ankle biter! Tee hee).
Anyway, Mum got a call last week from my Breeder. During the call she said that a few people had noticed that I flick my front paw out when I walk and that I wouldn’t make it in the Dog Show World! Doh! I thought the paw flick thing I was doing looked kinda cool, I guess not?! Huh? Mum hadn’t even noticed this going on…….she says I’m pawfect to her!
Luckily, I didn’t take it personally when Mum told me and I’m trying to deal with this new change in direction like a brave pup!
This turn of events also means I’m no longer gonna be ALL Dog! Mum hasn’t explained this to me in detail yet, but it’s not sounding too great and I think it involves a trip to the vets?! Hmmmmm
