As some of you know I’ve wanted to be a Therapy Dog for as long as I can remember. I love to make people smile and it would be cool to visit people who can’t get out and about so much.
Mum thought I was a little young before and then we had our hectic, fun summer, so it was kind of put to one side.
During the summer though, Mum and I met a lady and her Dog Gracie at the park and she was telling us about a local group she’s involved with that does Therapy Dog work.
Perfect! We hadn’t come across this group on the Internet so Mum was very happy to hear about a local group.
Today Mum and I are going to visit Gracie and her Mum to find out more, although I think Gracie and I are just gonna play while Mum talks details……. Tee Hee – Gracie is so much fun, we get on really well, I’ve been hoping we’d have a play date – Yay!!
Yay, I'm off to find out about being a Therapy Dog - and play with Gracie! 
I will have to be assessed by an animal behaviourist and I think Mum has to do lots of admin stuff before we can pass – Mum says she’s not bothered how long it takes and I may still be a little young (i.e. Bouncy!! ) but she just wants to know what things we should work on together……
I also have to be assessed by my vet, Mum’s made an appointment, so our big day is early in October – Woohoo!!
This is a huge step for us and we’re super excited, though Mum says I’m already an unofficial Therapy Dog and I bring smiles everyday!! Yay!
Will I make it as an official Therapy Dog? – I’ve got my paws crossed!!
We’ve got all paws crowessed and are sending Wirey tail wags for a quick entry into the world of Therapy!

How wonderful! I have no doubt you’ll make it as a therapy dog, and I know that sweet face and warm eyes of yours will brighten many people’s days.
How serendipitous that you happened to meet just the right person in the park! That must be a sign that this was meant to be.
My mom said she always wanted to do the therapy dog thing too, but I’m FAR too silly, bouncy, and excited all the time. Maybe if I ever calm down….?

Don’t give up, maybe you could make it – I’m hoping to get some tips from the Animal Behaviourist, plus also, lots of us pups behave differently when around people whilst doing Therapy work…… I know I’m a lot calmer when around little babies – well, you’ve got to be haven’t you?!
Yep, it was so cool we met Gracie and her Mum and she happened to tell us about the group, Mum was starting to get a little frustrated she couldn’t find anything local, so we’re really excited now!! Yay!! Not long till my play date – woohoo!!
