In case you haven’t noticed I have a pretty fluffy coat and if Mum doesn’t groom me every week it will get all matted!!
Believe me, I HATE matts – or more accurately Mum trying to get matts out – so I figure it’s best to be a good boy when it’s grooming time – it can be quite relaxing actually……
It usually takes between 1 and 2 hours – and ALWAYS ends with a treat!! Woohoo!!

Snooooopy! I have long behind-the-ear furs, and recently my mommy had to CUT off some really big knots. Now she makes sure to brush my ears at least once a day, so I don’t get any matts. I can’t IMAGINE getting matts in fur like yours!

I fear the scissors, a couple of times Mum has tried to get close to me with them, but I’ve resisted, I prefer her to get the knots out any day!! Has your Mum got the ‘V’ comb? It’s great!

Snoopy your fur always looks so nice that I can’t believe your Mom takes care of it by herself! My Mom is so lazy about brushing that I always look like a mess! Do you get a bath every week too?

Yep, you bet I get a bath EVERY week, you’d think they’d forget once in a while, huh?! Mum got a special Oatmeal shampoo so she can wash me each week, great!!
Mum grooms me cos it’s a lot cheaper than going to the groomer, she may not do it perfectly (she’s a novice), but it feels good, well the non-knotty bits anyway!

It is like a massage, although I think when it gets to the knots it’s not so much fun,
Mum says it’s the same when she gets a massage too, but getting rid of the knots is a necessary evil!

Yep, I always get a treat, most times it’s a Dentastix – woohoo!! I know exactly when we’re about to finish and Mum lifts me off the table, I get so excited, well, wouldn’t you after so long?!

Having Cavaliers I know all about that fine, cottony fur. BUT oh my you have so much more dog to groom! We take about 45 min once/twice a wk. Your a beauty so the hard work pays off!
