So, I decided, while Mum’s away I’m gonna tell you what happened last week – you won’t believe it – I couldn’t believe it!!
No Dinner for Snoopy!! Yep, you read that correctly……
Mum’s very fussy about my food, she says I have a delicate stomach (I think that sounds way too girlie)
Anyway, she says it’s a big deal if I change the type of food I eat…..
Therefore, I’m wondering why she left it until the last minute to go and get me some more of my kibble?
She never imagined the store would be out of stock!! Huh?
What’s Snoopy going to eat? Yeah, good question Mum….
- Ooooh – this looks way better than kibble…..
Mum thought I was funny as I picked out the Carrots and ate them before the meat - I love Carrots!!
This is good - I hope it lasts…..
Sadly, it only lasted a day and then the kibble magically appeared – I’m hoping Mum forgets again though, as I really liked her plan B!! Yum Yum 
I wonder if anyone else’s Mum ever runs out of Dog Food?

So, here’ the story, one of Mum’s previous Doggies used to be a super fast eater, so when she was getting a bowl for me as a puppy she saw this ‘slow feeder’ bowl and decided she’d get it in case I tried to eat too fast – it’s kind of like a game, you have to move all around the bowl to get your food

Sampson and Delilah get raw food, last night I forgot to take it out of the freezer and didn’t have time to defrost it, so I popped over to the store and picked up some ground beef.

My Mom has never run out of dog food but it isn’t out of the realm of possibility!
she often makes sirloin or piedmontese burgers (lower fat meat) and gives me one for dinner with carrots as well!!! I LOVE when she does that!

The bowl was from the local pet store, it’s called a slow feeder bowl, I’ve had it since I was a puppy, when you turn it up the other way you can drink out of it, which is great on camping trips

Oooo Snoopy, you’re so lucky! That did happen with us once too – Mom ran out of kibble and I got a dinner of cooked egg and rice – I was SO happy! I have a very delicate tummy too – I can’t even handle chicken! But oh how I loved that special dinner – I wonder if I can distract Mom enough when my kibble is getting low so she’ll forget to get it again?!

Me and Bella and Sable LOVE carrots too. So do the rescue dogs that come stay with us! Mom even cuts them up into little pieces and uses them for training treats. We like that! So does Mom ‘cuz it doesn’t get her fingers all ‘gunky’ from giving us treats.

Yeah, my Mum does the cutting up the Carrots thing too, it makes it a lot of work to get much Carrot, but it’s sure worth it!!
I also get Carrots stuck in my bone and then I have to get them out – I love that game!!

We LOVE carrots too, Mum gives us one everynight….just to keep us quite.
We are on the RAW diet, so if Mum runs out of food and can’t get to the shop she will give us cereal and milk!

LOL Snoops we have the food discussion on our house sometimes. One of the humans doesn’t always tell the other when our food is low. We have a great store nearby that has very good prices on our kibble; however, they go through pallets and pallets of food each week and sometimes they run out while waiting for the delivery truck to bring more. Waiting to the last minute can be an issue. Of course if we got the yummy food that you got when ours ran out, it would be fine with us!

Our mum ran out of veggies couple times, so we just got a “protein shake” instead, so we didn’t mind that at all. LOL

Bella’s always been fussy about eating her dinner and she tends to have a “sensitive stomach” as well so we’re pretty careful about not running out of her food. But yeah, there’s been a time or two we’ve missed.
Because of her sensitive tummy though, she gets home-made rice and veggies with all her meals now. And in light of all the food recalls lately, I’m seriously considering taking her off all kibble and feeding 100% home-cooked. It’s supposed to help her with her “mental health” issues too.

We have to admit that looks yummy. Sometimes our humans run out of the usual kibble and give us rice and fish. They own human restaurants and bring home salmon and whitefish leftovers. Yum!
The kibble always appears again. We hope your special dinner comes back!

Hi! Well we don’t run out of dog food here as Mommy keeps the dog food she is feeding me in a huge container and then she gets another unopened back plus there is the canned stuff. But she does give me table scraps. And I likes carrots too, I generally eats them first. ~Fenris
PS: We saw you were going to be the body guard for the Real Housecats, take good care of Scylla for me. She is a little hissy but just ignore it. I will be guarding Artemisia personally.
