Does Your Dog Pull? Great Giveaway – Easy Walk Dog Harness

Today I want to tell you about a Great Giveaway I’m doing for an Easy Walk Dog Harness.

I’ve got one of these Harnesses, Mum bought it for me about 4 months ago -

She bought it because I started to pull again when I started my Therapy Visits – the combination of the slippery floors and being super excited didn’t help! :)

No, honestly Mum, I'm not up to Mischief - I've got my Harness on - you just can't see it cos I'm SO FLUFFY !! :)

Ok, is this a better angle? Can you see my Harness now Mum? :)

My lead clips onto this Harness at the front (my old Harness clipped at the back)  – Mum thinks this is a key difference as it works brilliantly!!

Mum says I’m like a different Dog (Huh? Why would she want a different Dog?) – anyway, I walk really nicely alongside her when I’m in this Harness.

It’s also a lot easier to put on than my old one.  The grey part goes over my head, one clip and I’m done!

Here’s a better picture of it on a ‘less fluffy’ Dog – (please note mine is Black and Grey – not Girlie Pink! :) )  If you want more technical information, just click on the picture :)

Mum loves it so much she wanted me to tell everyone about it and also asked PetSmart if they’d be kind enough to offer one as a GIVEAWAY – Yay – that means I can give one to one of my friends!! :)

Just use the Rafflecopter below if you’d like to enter – the only mandatory part is to leave a comment and tell the Rafflecopter you did that – the other options on the Rafflecopter are for bonus entries – Good Luck! :)

If you don’t want to enter the Giveaway you can still leave a comment, just don’t use the Rafflecopter :)

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Entries will close on Wednesday June 7th 2012 at 12.01AM EST and I will announce the winner on Friday June 8th 2012.  The prize can be mailed to residents of the USA and Canada only.

We were not compensated for this post and Mum bought my harness.  The Giveaway is supplied by PetSmart.

I hope you have a fun weekend :)

  1. Seriously? I want one… but I’m too far :(

This is so sad. I have a hard time controlling Coal and I was hoping a change into a collar or harness that could help in his pulling strength.

Oh well, let me just leave a comment to say Good Luck to everyone who enters.

    Huggies and Cheese,

    • Hi Haopee,

Thanks for stopping by :) Sorry you’re too far, do you think you can find something similar in the Philipines? Mum thinks the key to this harness is that it clips to the lead at the front – she’s no expert, but it really works for me :) Good luck finding one, let us know how you get on :)

      Have a fun weekend guys,

      Snoops :)

  2. Leroy’s a puller, and I have been looking into getting one of these! Thanks for the great giveaway!
Jen recently posted..Time Was On My SideMy Profile

    • Hi Jen,

Thanks for entering the giveaway – that must be tough with Leroy pulling given his size!! I’m only 50lbs and Mum found it hard!!

By the way, we tested it out in PetSmart before we bought it, the staff helped fit it and we walked around the store for ages, it worked instantly for us, so Mum left it on and we took it home :)

Good luck and have a fun weekend,

      Snoops :)

  3. Oh Snoopy! Thanks for the review and a chance to win one of these! This is exactly what Freddie needs. No matter what I use he pulls. We have a harness that has the middle strap but we can’t use it as his breast bone is pointie and having the hook -up in the back, it just give him more leverage to drag me!
Bassetmomma recently posted..Gloria Cuts Loose! My Profile

    • Hi Bassetmomma,

That harness you mention sounds like my old one – I could pretend I was a sleigh Dog!! Tee Hee – I haven’t pulled once in this one which makes Mum super happy!!

Good luck in the Giveaway :)

      Wags to all,

      Snoops :)

  4. Hey Snoopy, I am just stopping to say hi so don’t enter me. These look great though. We have seen tons of dogs with them, so they must be fabulous.

  5. Puppy Timmy Elijah is also a puller (not good with mama’s sensitive back). We just got a gentle lead for him — the kind that latches below his nose. He’s doing better (still not great). May have to try this kind if he doesn’t shape up! :)

Sorry to hear Timmy is giving your Mum’s back a hard time – he’s such a cute little puppy!! :)

My Mum tried all kinds of things and hands down this has been the best – Good luck in the draw :)

      Wags to all,

      Snoops :)

  6. I would love to try an EZ harness on Delilah, I missed the EZ harness giveaway when they offered it through blogpaws. Great review Snoopy, are you comfortable wearing it?

    • Hi Jodi,

The first minute I put it on I thought it was a little odd and then I forgot about it – I don’t mind putting it on and sit really nicely – in fact, sometimes Mum forgets to take it off (she can’t see it in my fur) – but I don’t care…. :)

      Hope you’re having a fun day :)

      Snoops :)

  7. Charlotte says:

Love the give away. So nice of you to offer us this chance to win this harness.

  8. That looks great Snoops.
Can you tell me do you have the medium or large version? So glad you posted this – I’m getting a beardie puppy very soon and wanted to use a harness rather than a lead when shes a bit older (harnesses look much more comfortable than a standard type lead) I definitely think we’ll get one – pity we can’t enter the competition though – too far away :(
PS – didn’t you fancy the pink one??? :)
    Have a great weekend x :)

    • Wow Helen,

That’s super exciting that you’re getting a Beardie puppy!! :) I hope we can see some pictures? :)

If you’re getting a Girl, maybe she would like a Pink one? :)

I weigh 50lbs and I have the Large, but I’m really one the lower side of Large as there’s lots of room left on the harness for expansion….

For anyone else reading too, I believe they also do an Extra Large….

Have a fun weekend too :)

      Snoops :)

  9. I think this harness is a great idea and would like to try it with my pug, Willie!

  10. Woof! Woof! Mom would like to check this style of harness. I am not a puller just getting to be an older dog. Hope we did it right … have not use rafflecopter for a long time. Lots of Golden ALOHA n Woofs, Sugar

But you look so young!! :)

Even if I wasn’t pulling I think Mum would like this Harness as it’s so easy to put on,,,,

      Have fun buddy,

      Snoops :)

  11. Hi Snoopy, sorry that I was so rude to you the other day in the dogpark. Maybe I had a bad day or I was just jealous of yuor harness :-) I hopefully see you next time in the dogpark! I´ll be nicer then – I promise. Woof Woof Rocky

    • Hey Rocky,

You weren’t rude, it was great to meet you and play chase together – you and your Mum are doing a great job getting you used to other Doggies!! I’m looking forward to some more play dates!! – I hope you’re free soon :)

      Wags to all,

      Snoops :)

  12. Hi Snoopy!! Look like a great harness, but don’t enter me in the contest…cause I am way to mantastic to be a puller!!! BOL!! Maybe it’s because I am smaller, I don’t have the need to pull mom around well unless there is a chicken nugget around!!

  13. I’ve never used an Easy Walk Harness myself, but I recommended it to one of my “library friends” who has a border collie mix that pulled and pulled. She started to mention things like a choke chain and I was like “Oh, well, I heard that this kind of harness…..” She bought it, and now the puppy is learning gently!

Elka is pretty good on the leash. But really, I wouldn’t mind trying it out!

I’m glad your friend is finding it useful – yay!! :) My Mum uses it all the time for me now, unless we’re out running and then she wants me to go ahead so we use my old harness for that….

Good luck and have a fun weekend,

      Snoops :)

  14. Very cool! Both Linus and Stetson could probably use one of these no-pull harnesses. Right now I use a head collar when I’m walking them together. Apache has strict rules and isn’t allowed to wear a harness on his walks. Thanks for the review!

  19. SNOOPS!!!
You’ve got to DELETE this post! I don’t want my Mom to get me one of these things ~ I LIKE to pull and drag her around. She looks so funny when I drag her down into the ditch when we’re walking along the road! ;-)

Then again, it’s probably better than one of those things that they put around your MUZZLE! I’d really hate that. Maybe we should try to win one of these…I’m used to wearing a harness. But my leash clips onto the back and I can still pull! ;-)

    OK. Sign us up!

    • Hi there Hero (and Nancy)

Yep, those muzzle kind of harnesses don’t look like fun!! Dragging your Mum into the ditch might seem like fun, but think how much more fun you’d have if you were walking nicely, maybe your Mum would take you to places she might not otherwise take you? Just a thought buddy :)

I went to a Mushroom Mardi Gras with my Mum and Dad last weekend and I heard Mum say on the way back, what a pleasure I was to take out to places!! I got to say Hi to so many people too – it was great! :)

      I hope you’re having a fun weekend,

  21. Hiya Snoopy! Odin’s hooman here……… she says I pull because I think I am in charge of walking HER but actually it is because I think I know where we are going (that isnt always the case) I also have this ‘thing’ for squirrels while on my leash,,,,,,,,, one time I pulled her so hard that she started saying things that didnt sound much like ‘good boy’ afterwards- it coulda been because it was icy and she let go of the leash when I chased em up the tree. Anyway, she says at almost 70# a harness would be good for me :)

    • Hi Ellen (and Odin)

Yeah, that which way next thing is kinda tricky, I like to be first too, but I’m not always sure where we’re going!! When we’re running Mum says ‘This Way’ to us and we know to follow her as she’s changing direction, it works pretty well :)

And of course Squirrels – I hear you buddy!! We can’t have your Mum falling over :)

Good luck in the giveaway :)

      Wags to all

      Snoops :)

  22. Hi Snoopy! We would love to win one of these! Scout could really use it…in fact, he started to chase after a dog the other night and pulled mom into a gutter and she cut her big toe really bad :( Scout is really big and when he decides he wants to do something there is no stopping him! All that money spent on obedience school and they forgot to teach him to not chase after other dogs :)

I used to like to chase anything that moves, I’m definitely getting better – it’s hard though when your a Sheep Dog!

I think it’s SO cool that you get to help people the way you do, Snoops! I admire you and your Mom for taking the time to get you the proper training so you can be a therapy dog. My Mom says that she would love to do that with me and Bella but she just doesn’t have the time.

Yep, I think people are only just starting to really realize the potential us Dogs have to make humans feel better in lots of situations :) I’m so happy that I’m able to be a part of it…..

I’m planning on doing some more posts about how to become a Therapy Dog as some aspects are less time consuming than you may imagine :) Your Mum does amazing work and maybe she’ll get a chance some time to work towards you being official Therapy Dogs, right now you’re great unofficial Therapy Dogs :)

I was lucky as my Mum was hoping I could do this since I arrived when I was a puppy, so she has been working towards this with me my whole life (yeah, I know I’m only2 !) :) and exposing me to things she thinks could help me –

That was another reason we went to the school, as we haven’t done anything like this before. Mum thought I may be ready, and she was right, the buzzers didn’t faze me and the volume of students was ok too, even when they all came over at the same time :) Mum’s hoping we can find more opportunities to work with kids soon :)

      Hope you’re having a fun day :)
