My buddy Dakota told me on Monday that I’m going to Blogpaws!! You might wonder how I didn’t know already?
So did I, No-one tells me anything around here – it’s lucky I’ve got good friends who keep me in the loop!! 
Mum finally confirmed it, yes I AM going!!
I was SO excited that I rushed in to pack!! Forget playing with the Squirrels….
Woohoo!! I just need 5 minutes to pack and I'm ready to go!!
Mum said to relax as we’re not going for another week – doh!!
Mum and Dad had been trying to work out how to get from the San Francisco Bay area to Salt Lake City – plane wasn’t an option as I’m too big to be allowed with the passengers and Mum didn’t want me to go in the hold.
But guess what, there’s an Amtrak train that goes from San Francisco right to Salt Lake City – Woohoo!! Hold on – NO DOGS ALLOWED!!
Mum called to check if this was true, sadly it is, but she couldn’t find out a proper reason as to why – doh!!
So, now we’re driving as it’s our only option…..
Maybe one day I’ll be allowed on the train as some people have started a petition to allow Dogs on Amtrak :)
I wonder why Dogs are not allowed on trains? It would be awesome if we were!!
Oh, before I go, in case you missed it on Monday – I’m writing a Mischief Book – and you can be in it too!!

I’m excited to hear about your trip Snoopy, I won’t put my dogs in holding either. I think probably the major reason dogs aren’t allowed on planes (with the passengers) or trains is because they don’t stop often enough to give the dogs a potty break.
There is an airline specifically for pets but the travel is limited. http://www.petairways.com/
One day I would love an airplane that had a sandy/grassy area and couches so dogs could lie next to their people and get up and potty when they need to.

I think I’d be good with the potty break thing, do you know I can hold it for like 10 hours, in fact even this morning I have no desire to go out yet – too sleepy!! I’m way better than Mum
She doesn’t understand how I do it…..

Ooo, road trips are so much fun! I always have a great time on road trips, Snoop, and I’m sure you will too. There are so many places to get out and sniff around, and lots of great new people to meet. You’ll love it!

Yep I love road trips too – I’ve been on a few long ones (only in my state though) and I usually watch movies with the kids to pass the time
I always do the sniff test when we stop though, before I get out of the car, so many new smells to take in!!

I can’t wait to see you and your mum at BlogPaws! Sorry you’re not allowed to ride the train. Apache and my other guide dog pups are lucky because they are allowed to ride on the train. We even heard back from our now working guide dog Dublin that he got to ride right at his blind partners feet on their plane ride to Phoenix!

So sad about Amtrak
You would make everybody’s trip so much better…I guess having you on board would be the only way to make Amtrak travel enjoyable. You know what? Amtrak should pay YOU to ride their train!
Thank goodness we’re allowed on trains in Switzerland. Big dogs like you pay half price, and little dogs like me travel free. Technically, little dogs only travel free if they’re in a crate, but I’m so little that I can just snuggle in Mom’s arms
