Can Dogs Run Faster Than Humans? Well there’s a good question -
I’m convinced we can, especially as Cosmo and I aren’t allowed to run in the Half Marathon that Mum and Dad are doing this weekend!!
We can certainly do the distance, I think we’re not allowed because we’re too fast and we’ll show everyone up!! Tee Hee
Mum was slacking off whilst she was in Europe, yep, she brought her running gear, but do you think she used it when I wasn’t there to train her? Nope, not once!!
She said she was walking every day, so she was ‘Cross Training!’ – Hmmmm
Since she’s been back Cosmo and I haven’t let her off her training – we even had rain early this week (Mum can’t remember any since Spring!) – but Cosmo and I sacrificed our hair looking good and dragged her out!
Cosmo, we haven’t time for photos – we need to keep Mum running – or she’ll never make it in the race – she’s just stalling!!
Of course I wasn’t even tired when we got home – I had lots of energy to play!! 
Hey Mum, look I ‘found’ Dad’s flip flop – wanna play chase?!
Oh come Mum, you can’t ignore me now, I look so silly!! Tee Hee
Mum was trying very hard to ignore my antics, but I’m sure I heard her sniggering!!

Of course we can outrun our humans. They always slow me down when I’m after the squirrels but the other day I actually touched one. Instead of running up the tree, it just kept running around the tree. Either it was just stupid or something was wrong with it. My mom was worried it was going to bite my nose, but it didn’t.

We can definitely outrun our humans, Snoopy, and I think you’re right about the reason why! They wouldn’t like us to show them up, would they? And how come after a run or a full day of hiking, they’re ready to relax while we’re ready to play?! Maybe we should slip some vitamins into their food…..

Yeah I think the vitamins would be a good idea – my Mum doesn’t want to play with me nearly enough!! Can you imagine if they let us run and they were listing the results, it would be all Dog names at the front of the list!! Tee Hee

Dogs are definitely fast than humans, I know this because Delilah outruns me in the agility ring. Although I have to admit, I’m not is as good a shape as your mom, and I am so much older than she is. Still my dog is mad fast.

That’s funny that Delilah outruns you in the ring, I bet she’s super fast – I’m looking forward to trying that soon!! Lucky for Mum she won’t have to do the obstacles – she probably wouldn’t be any good at them!!
I’m not sure if I’ll get to go this year (I did last year) as both Mum and Dad are running – maybe I’ll send them a text to encourage them? Or a picture of me lying on the sofa – that’ll be sure to get them running home faster!

Your mom missed out running in Europe. My mom was a flight attendant for years and running in new cities early in the morning was her favorite thing – great way to check out the area before everyone is up and about. She even ran laps on the cruise ship early in the morning. Maybe she is nuts? Us dogs just get bored with the long distances I think but we have the stamina, that I know! Happy running!
