I’m Not That Sick Mum!

You guessed it, I was back at the Vets again on Monday – this time it was because I kept vomiting during the weekend – Mum did the usual withholding food, feeding bland food (didn’t know she could find anything more bland than my normal kibble – Tee Hee) and actually thought I was over it until I was sick again on Monday morning – why did she have to notice?  Doh!

I was actually on the good sofa at the time, so Mum quickly took her sweatshirt off and intercepted it – Phew!  (She didn’t even remember to tell me off for being on the sofa in all the excitement!)

Before I knew it I was being whisked off to the Vets!  Am I the only one who gets whisked off to the Vets for the slightest thing?

But Mum, I feel just fine, do I really need to go to the Vets?

I love my Vet, I just don’t love what happens there!  I reluctantly went into the exam room and hid on the bench behind Mum – I knew this was a wise move when I heard the Nurse say she should take my temperature!  I pushed my butt so far into the corner that Mum laughed and said it was unlikely I’d let her do it – Yay for Mum!

My Vet examined me and said my stomach seemed fine and as I was myself and still hungry (I tried to eat the whole jar of cookies!)  that I would be ok – Tee Hee

No idea what caused me to be ill, maybe it was all the Cola I drank on Saturday? Just Kidding – I only get the empty bottles!! Tee Hee

The good news is I’m sure I’m on the mend and the vomiting is subsiding!  Yay! :)

Have a fun Wednesday everyone! :)

    • Thanks Clowie,

Yeah, Mum wasn’t as worried as the last time I was ill, however, she never gives it long before I’m off in the car…. just to be safe :)

      Wags to all,

      Snoops :)

  2. Poor Snoopy! Do you think you could be allergic to something in your food? I would be worried about the vomiting and would do the exact same thing as your mom. Storm had an issue with vomiting and was diagnosed with pancreatitis so we really watch her fat intake. She hasn’t had a bought since we made changes to her food. Glad to hear you are on the mend. Oh yeah, those cookies were good, just what I needed – Tee Hee

      Hope you’re having a fun day :)

      Snoops :)

  3. Oh no, so sorry to hear you’re feeling all icky, Snoopy. But it was wise of your mom to take you to the vet – always best to have those symptoms checked out. I’m glad you’re starting to feel better but we’ll keep you in our thoughts until we hear you’re back to your old self.

Yeah, Mum first thought it was just the Dog thing that we do every now and then, but then I kept doing it – ooops!! She had lightening fast responses when she thought I was gonna do it on the sofa – woosh – and her sweater was under my head!! :)

      Hope you’re having a fun day :)

  33. So sorry you weren’t well and really sorry you got “caught.” You can’t blame your mom for worrying when you kept throwing up. That is a good reason to go to see the vet. Getting the temperature taken is a good thing also, though the way it’s done is highly unpopular.

    Glad you’re feeling better.

    • Hi Jana,

Oh you’re not wrong about the temperature thing! I’m wondering why they can’t just put it under my armpit? I’m sure they do that to babies?

Hope you’re having a fun weekend,

      Snoops :)

  34. I’m glad you’re okay, Snoopy! I generally don’t worry about vomiting unless it happens more than once or if there are other symptoms along-side. The reason being is that sometimes Maya & Pierson vomit because they ate too fast. They have slow-feeders now to help keep this from happening.
Dawn recently posted..Wordless Wednesday – Random CutenessMy Profile
