Monday Mischief – Pretend to be asleep! :)

Mum tries hard to teach me the rules around here!  We’re always battling about whether I should be on the sofa and I do try hard to do what she says!

But I had an idea – what if I can’t actually hear her because I’m sleeping?!  That wouldn’t count then would it?

Here I am all nice and comfy – until – I get discovered! Time to put my plan into action! Tee Hee :)

  1. Aww, Snoopy, I’d let you on the couch ;)

Sometimes I pretend to sleep. Elka somehow always sees through it!

    • Hi Jen,

Thanks, you’re so nice!! Can you talk to my Mum and convince her too? :) You pretend to be asleep to Elka? Does she pounce on you to wake you up? Tee Hee

      Have a fun day,

      Snoops :)

  2. That is great trick. Lee pretends she is deaf to get out of doing things she doesn’t want to! Lee and Phod

    • Thanks Guys,

It took quite a bit of practicing to not even flinch!! :)

Lee sure is clever, Cosmo tries the deaf thing when we’re supposed to sit at the sidewalk, but Mum doesn’t fall for it!! :)

      Wags to all,

      Snoops :)

  3. Heehee! I will have to give that a try!

  6. I just get on the couch when my people are out of the house. A couple times I’ve fallen asleep and I didn’t get off in time when they came back home. Great job of pretending to be asleep.

Yeah isn’t it great getting to sleep wherever you like when they’re out – think you need to install an alert system Dude though!! :)

      Have fun,

      Snoops :)

  7. That is a very good idea! My mom didn’t want me on the couch either, but I was persistent and she finally gave in. Don’t give up, Snoopy!

Glad you thought I was convincing, it took lottsa practice to not even flinch!! Tee Hee

Yeah, unfortunately some form of hair clip is usually required or all my hair is over my eyes and I can’t see anything!! :)

      I hope you’re having a fun day,

      Snoops :)

  11. I think that’s a great ploy, I can see that working for you really good too.

  12. Haha Well done Snoopy! I used the same trick, but unfortunately I don’t have any hair covering my eyes to help disguise my being awake. My family tried to keep me off the couch at first too, but I was persistent and eventually they decided it was a battle that wasn’t worth fighting. Hah! One point for us canines! ;) Hang in there Snoopy, you might win that battle too!

    • Hi Daisy,

Thanks so much for the encouragement buddy, you’re such a pro!! I’m super impressed you won the battle, sometimes I feel a little battle weary, but I will continue to fight the good fight to get on ALL sofas whenever I please – yay! :)

      Wags to all

      Snoops :)

  13. Haaaaaaaaaaaa snoopy!! That is the BEST mischief EVER!!!! Great job of ignoring your Mum!!! Love it! Hey pal, for the record, I say you ALWAYS should be allowed on the couch! Barks and licks and love, Dakota

I’m glad you told me that officially, I need to show mum the ‘on the record’ information, my Mum and Dad just don’t get it?! :)

Glad you enjoyed my mischief buddy, I’ve been practicing forever, did you see how I didn’t even flinch when Mum got super close? Tee Hee

      I hope you’re having a fun day,

      Snoops :)

  14. That is a GOOD way to get out of mischief! My human even does it sometimes!

    • Hi Coralee and Finn,

Your human is a master of mischief too? Things must get tricky in your house with everyone up to mischief!! Tee Hee

      Wags to all

      Snoops :)

  15. Ha, that’s great Snoopy! And it sounds like quite a good plan.

  21. I always enjoy using my selective hearing…amazingly I can always hear a call or request if there is something edible involved but otherwise, it just depends on what I feel like at the moment. Mom does not find it real amusing!

I guys that’s why it’s called ‘selective’!! Tee Hee – My Mum doesn’t find it funny either, weird? :)

  23. The art of selective hearing. Ha ha we think the score is Snoopy 1 Mum 0. I am not allowed on the back of the posh sofa but I always go there for a bit of Homeland Security. I get told off every time but I still do it. I ignore peeps too until I get a cushion thrown at me or the stern voice and then hide behind the sofa. It is a tough life my friend. Have a marvelous Monday.

  25. That is a smooth move, Snoop. I’ve never tried that one. Sometimes when I’m naughty, I turn my head and pretend Mom is not there. I can’t wait to try out your technique!
