Snoopy does Home Land Security

Some people might think because I’m a fluffy dog I’m no good at security (of course the UPS guy knows differently!)

I thought I’d demonstrate one of my recent exercises I carried out!

"Quick Dad, you get the back door, I've got the front door covered!"

“Quick Dad, you get the back door, I’ve got the front door covered!”

I wonder if any other pets are also in charge of security in their homes? :)

Have a Wonderful Wednesday! :)

    • Thanks Elizabeth,

Though I’m feeling worried about people walking on me, or the intruder wiping his mucky feet on me! :)

      Hope you’re having a fun day :)

      Snoops :)

  4. Jeffie may be a bit fluffy, but he’s in charge of security at our house. the UPS and FedEx peeps probably hate coming here… WOOF, Snoopy, good job!
Sue at Talking Dogs recently posted..Jeffie’s Birthday Party Pet Photo ContestMy Profile

    • Hi Sue,

Sounds like Jeffie is doing a great job – Our Fed Ex person doesn’t mind coming and I’ve even said hi to her, but the UPS guy has an agreement with Mum that she comes out the garage to see him and I never get to see him – doh!

      Wags to all,

      Snoops :)

  5. I am very good at barking to alert my mom and dad of any dog who walks by our house, people not so much.
Abby Dabby Doo recently posted..Barking and Meowing With The Zemeks (Vlog–Introduction to Youtube Channel)My Profile

    • Hi Abby Dabby Doo,

Sounds like you’re doing a great job buddy – Yep, barking is super important, I hear people coming up the path before they even press the door bell (Mum doesn’t even hear them!) so I alert her with my bark too!

      Keep up the great work,

      Snoops :)

  6. Absolutely Snoopy…I have a guardpost on top of the sofa where i can watch the front steps and no one sneaks by me! Happy WW!

  7. Hi Snoopy! Floofy or not you seem to have the security thing under control. Max is the alpha male here and is in charge of our yard Security . . . he has no floof but he barks like thunder!

    Happy Blog Hop Wednesday!

    • Hi Guys,

Glad to hear Max is doing such a great job of security on your homeland, keep up the good work non-floofy buddy! :)

      Wags to all,

  10. Snoopy dog do you do mentor security training. Cinnamon could learn a few things from you. Have a wonderful Wednesday!
    Cinnamon recently posted..Wordless WednesdayMy Profile

    • Hi Cinnamon’s Mom,

I sure could give Cinnamon some tips – probably the biggest one is to practice the big bark, gets the intruders all nervous! :)

      Wags to all,

      Snoops :)

  11. No one could even think of getting past you.

  12. Nicely done – that is one trick I need to learn…. WOOF WOOF!

    • Hi Piranhabanana,

It’s easier than it looks, positioning is everything and then you just need to keep your ears open, no napping! :)

      Hope you’re having a fun day :)

      Snoops :)

  13. I a ferocious bark. Luckily the people outside don’t know that the whole time I’m barking, my tail is between my legs and I’m backing up . . . all the while looking for my mommy to come save me!

  14. Nobody’s getting past you, Snoopy! We’re fortunate to have two dogs – one for the front door and one for the back. :)

That is fortunate, then Dad doesn’t have to be on duty, yet another reason we should get another dog!! :)

    • Hey Dakota,

If there was a mirror near the door I could have checked my fur, but I was working too hard, there was no mirror, plus I didn’t realize Mum was gonna pop photos in the middle of my drill!! So, anyway, I’m intrigued to know how you Shelties manage to look cool whilst doing your security – very impressive!! :)

      Wags to all,

      Snoops :)

  18. I am so in charge of Homeland Security at our pad. I got it all covered. Have a wonderful Wednesday Snoopy.

  27. My Kuvasz sis is a guard dog by breed but I am the one that holds up the security detail in MY front window daily. I make sure and howl for back up whenever I see anything suspicious…mom says I am a super good deterrent because any criminals would laugh themselves to death when they see me. I am not sure that is a nice thing for mom to say but it sounds good to me.
emma recently posted..Sacked Out | GBGV | Wordless WednesdayMy Profile

    • Hi Emma,

Great job buddy, glad you took the initiative when your sis was too lazy! :) And I’m sure your Mom would only say nice things about you :)

      Big wags,

      Snoops :)

  28. Looks like you’ve got it under control, Snoopy. We dogs have to take over security. Humans will let ANYBODY in, without even smelling them! I am vigilant about anybody who wants to come in, anybody passing by my window, and anybody a block away minding their own business.

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

    • Hey Cupcake,

You’re so right, I don’t think I’ve EVER seen my Mum give anyone the sniff over, just as well I’m here!! Keep up the great work buddy! :)

      Snoops :)

  29. You’re doing a great job!
