Monday Mischief – Is it still mischief if you do it nearly every day?

Hi everyone, today I have a question for you…..

When I first started jumping on the bed (after Dad leaves for work, this bit is important, as one time I lost it and jumped up too early and Dad caught me) anyway, when I first started to do it, I knew it was mischief, even before Mum would tell me!

It didn’t make me get off the bed though, cos let’s face it, Mum’s easy and can’t contain her laughter when I go all floppy if she tries to get me off – I think now she’s trying the “ignore the dog and he’ll get bored of doing it” approach, which works fine for me and helps me get a nice nap!  Tee Hee

I think I look totally at home up here! :)

So, to my question, do you think it’s still mischief if I jump on the bed now nearly every day? :)

  1. I like to jump on the bed and mess up the covers whenever my person leaves the house. She tells me it’s mischief – so I guess even if you do it every day it still qualifies as mischief.

    • Hey Bongo,

Well I think you go a stage further than me, cos I just play with the pillows (well they must be there for some reason, right?!)

      Have fun

      Snoops :)

  2. I think the statute of limitations is up on being accused of mischief. You are home free Snoopy.

  3. Fortunately, my babies never jump on bed…although they poo on it once in a while *sigh*

    • Haha Novroz,

I know you probably don’t think it’s funny when they poo on the bed, but I thought it was good mischief! I’ll try to resist that myself! :)

      Have fun,

      Snoops :)

  4. I think it is no longer real mischief because secretly your mom doesn’t mind and just allows it. If she is trying to get you off that would be mischief. I have never jumped on the bed, I may have to try sometime but I am short and that bed is so tall!

  5. I think it still is a little bit of mischief Snoopy! Leroy does that too me all the time and I have to say it makes me smile to wake up to his goofy face on the bed!

    • Hi Flea,

With that rule it means there’s lots of mischief in our house that goes on when Dad’s not here, he often wonders why his slippers aren’t where he left them! Tee Hee

      Have a fun day

      Snoops :)

  8. Snoopy that is not mischief you are just keeping a lonely bed company. Have a marvellous Monday and a great Labour Day.

  11. The bed is definitely mischief even if you do it a million times. Mom already chased me off a million times, that’s how I know. Sometimes, she says, “You’re getting a spankin.” It sounds like, “You’re getting BACON.” but she never gives me any bacon…..

  13. I think it was mischief to start with, but then it kind of became acceptable behavior, so no longer qualifies.
Our dog Moses used to do the same thing, right down to the “going all floppy” when we tried to get him down. You all know what you’re doing with that floppy thing….we humans are pretty powerless to it. LOL

  14. Definitely NOT mischief. I knows ’cause I do the same thing. Heh.

  15. Jason says the mischief that I allow our dogs to get into everyday is still mischief… Fortunately when they hear him come home from work they all get off the furniture and know not to jump back up again until he is not looking!

  16. LOL if you do it everyday we say no. Just claim the bed as your own and move on to other mischief.
