Monday Mischief – Nearly a Crime!

This mischief was very nearly a crime, but luckily I stopped it from happening!

You see a few weeks ago Mum bought me some new treats, she was very proud of this find, as they only had 1 ingredient in them, Sweet Potatoes, nothing more and nothing less.

Here are the yummy treats Mum's thinking of stealing!

Here are the yummy treats Mum bought for me!

She was about to give me one, but as she opened the packet she caught a whiff of them and exclaimed – “Oooh, these smell nice!” She put MY treat closer to her nose and said “Maybe I could eat this?”  I was shocked!  AND extremely worried….  She wasn’t saying this when I used to eat kibble!

With all my strength I gave her my saddest puppy eyes and the mischief/crime was averted and she handed over the treat!  She wasn’t wrong, these are yummy, they’re now my favorite treat and I go running into my bed when I hear her get the packet out – I make sure to do the puppy eyes every time and luckily she’s yet to taste them – Phew!  If she got to taste them I think it’d be game over!

"Here's my sad puppy eye look, I'm sure glad I've never stopped practicing this!"

“Here’s my sad puppy eye look, I’m sure glad I’ve never stopped practicing this!”

Does anyone else have to worry about their humans eating their treats? :)

What other mischief has been going on everywhere else?

    • Hey Lee and Phod,

That’s lucky your Mom can’t eat your treats – my Mum is also on a very special diet, I think that’s why she got all excited that my treats were actually something she ‘could’ eat! :)

      Wags to all,

      Snoops :)

  3. Good thing you gave her your best eyes before she ate that cookie!

  11. I’m not a sweet potato fan, so Mom could eat those, but I worry about her eating my holiday Buddy Biscuits as she is always sniffing them and saying how they smell like cookies for her. I hope she doesn’t start eating them!

    • Hey Stina

Glad you like my puppy look, it took me ages to practice it!

I think it’s very sneaky of the humans to make chocolate poisonous for us doggies so they can hog it all themselves, AND then come after my treats! Doh!

      Wags to all,

      Snoops :)

  13. Oh yes, we have had treats that mom thinks smell wonderful too.

Actually it’s funny my husband does that with our girls. He will take one of their treats or antlers or what have you, and pretend to gnaw on it……the look they give him is priceless!
