Monday Mischief – World Cup – I’m Ready!

In our house Dad calls it Soccer and Mum calls it Football, but either way it involves a round ball and there’s about to be a World Cup to see which country plays the best!

I thought I should get some practice in just in case I get called up to represent the USA!

Hey Mum, look what I just found! I think I'll just have a little play before I give it back to the kids next door!

It must be fate that this plopped into my garden as I don't have a ball to practice with!

Ok, I'll do a little dribbling!

Look how well I've got the ball pinned down!

Mum says I'm cheating and that's hand ball - I don't even have hands, I bet the rules don't say I can't use paws!

This ball tastes pretty good, but yep Mum said licking isn't allowed either! Doh, so many rules!

Oh, think my training session might be over, I think I heard something, could be a Squirrel!

Has anyone else been practicing their ball skills in case they get called up to represent their country?!

PS – Mum made me hand the ball back to the kids!  Doh!

I think you could make it to the World Cup Snoopy. You just gotta practice a little on your footwork.

    • Hi Susan and the gang,

I’m all up for a little more practice, I need to get my Mum to get me my own ball! :)

      Wags to all,

      Snoops :)

  6. My sister Katie is really into soccer. She used to be really good when she was younger, she could do headers and everything. One time in Germany, she even ran into the middle of a kid’s game and they couldn’t get her out. Soccer was her thing. She still loves it but can’t play like she used to. Have fun! I think Klinsi is still the US coach? Katie speaks fluent German and he comes from there in case you need any help!

  8. Our neighbors are from England so they love “football!” Sometimes the dogs get a basketball or soccer ball thrown over the fence but we never let them play with it, don’t want to pop it before the neighbors get it back!

So what you’re saying is I should be thankful for the few minutes of fun Mum let me have? I so hope she buys me my own! :)

Say hi to your English neighbors for us :)

      Wags to all,

      Snoops :)

  9. Woo-Hoo…You really have the moves there Snoopy!

  10. I think you definitely qualify, Snoopy! In fact, you could probably win the championship without a team behind you! As long as no squirrels run by, of course…. ;)

    • Haha Daisy

Mum says it would be ok with the squirrels so long as they’re running in the right direction! :)

      Wags to all,

      Snoops :)

  11. Pawsme dribbling there Snoopy. What fun. Over here it is football and we are not great fans of the game. Have a marvellous Monday.

  16. Maybe Mum needs to get you your own soccer ball to chase. They are fun. Never mind about the rules, I never have figured soccer/football out :)
Maybe when American football dies out, we’ll join the rest of the planet in loving soccer!
