Monday Mischief – OCD Dog!

I have a rule about keeping my toys inside as I don’t want them to get all dirty, I’m kinda OCD tidy, no I really am, I even get upset when the smallest thing is in my coat and I always like to have clean feet!

Anyway, the other day I shocked Mum and broke my own rule, it doesn’t happen very often!

I decided the pink toy could come out and get some fresh air!

Oh Hi Mum, yep I took pity on the pink toy and agreed it could come outside for a little while!

I think I'll just play with it here where it's all nice and clean, I'm not taking it onto the grass!

Does anyone else do mischief on themselves and break their own rules?

  1. Rita is pretty good about keeping her toys in the house too, but every once in a while, she’ll take one out back…. which can be bad if it’s a ball, since we live on a STEEP slope and we’ve already lost a few things that rolled down our hill and were never retrieved!

  3. Wish you could convince the boys to do the same. They take their woolies outside and they come back in bedraggled messes :(

  4. Almost all our toys are indoor toys. We have a couple outside, but they have to stay outside, so it makes sense. Once and a while we try to take a stuffie out for some fresh air, but it usually doesn’t get far before being escorted back indoors.

  5. We have outside toys and inside toys. There is only one outsider that comes in and that is our decaying airdog. Sofie is very OCD, but not with clean, with carrying things around and having to always have something in her mouth. She carries Airdog out and then brings it back in or leave it by the door. BOL – Cleanliness is next to dogginess.

  6. We have outside toys and inside toys. Mom so wishes we were OCD! BOL! Great job, Snoopy!!

  12. So cute! Kilo doesn’t take his out either, besides one ball for the park.

    • Hi Talent Hounds,

Sounds like Kilo has similar rules to me, though I don’t even do the ball at the park thing, I’m not a fetcher! :)

      Wags to all,

      Snoops :)

  13. I’m not sure our crew has any rules, and they like to try to sneak their toys outside even though they’re not supposed to!
It was nice of you to get that toy some fresh air, Snoopy, and to keep it clean while you had it outside! We think you are allowed to break your own rules, as long as you have good reason, and we think you did. :)

  14. Toys inside is a pretty good rule, but rules are made to be broken. Good job figuring out how to bring a toy out and still keep it clean.

  17. I work in a hotel for dogs, and I think it’s soooo cute when the dogs want to take their toys outside. We have a particularly adorable lab who will sometimes try to drag his entire blanket out :D

  18. I love how you are keeping it clean, I would have found the muddiest puddle to drop it in and then tried to bring it back into the house!

  19. I don’t think Vaks and I break our own rules, but Mom’s rules we break all the time LOL.
